Elijah House Malaysia’s Prayer Ministry flows from the transformative legacy of John and Paula Sandford, whose prophetic insight and healing-heart ministry have touched lives around the world.
What began humbly in Idaho has blossomed into a global network—reaching hearts across Malaysia, Australia, Austria, and beyond with a shared vision of restoration, reconciliation, and Spirit-led healing.
Today, that legacy flourishes through trained EHM prayer ministers, who serve with compassion, spiritual discernment, and a foundation rooted in biblical truth.
What is Prayer Counselling?
Unlike secular counseling, which relies on the practitioner’s expertise, prayer ministry follows a Spirit-led path.
Sessions are pastoral in nature, offering a safe space for healing.
Each begins with compassionate listening to the seeker’s story, gently inviting God’s presence into the moment.
Through listening prayer, ministers seek the Lord’s heart and discern His guidance for the individual.
The aim is to uncover what keeps individuals bound to past wounds and hurts—so they may move forward with renewed understanding and healing.
Identifying the Root Cause
A central part of this process is the discernment of bitter roots, deep-seated beliefs, inner vows, or judgments formed through pain.
As the seeker is lovingly led into prayer, repentance, and release, the Holy Spirit restores what was wounded and renews what was bound bringing freedom, healing, and transformation.
Heart Healing is a
Lifelong Journey
Just as physical recovery takes time, so too does the healing of the heart. We recognize that complete healing may not happen in a single session.
Yet we trust that the Holy Spirit continues the work, gently guiding each individual toward wholeness and renewal one step at a time.
We Are Not a Crisis Centre
We do not provide prayer minister for those in immediate crisis situations.
We are not a crisis-care center, nor do we provide supervised or overnight care for mental illness, drug/ alcohol, addictions, suicide prevention, or other immediate crisis-care situations.
In such cases, please contact the local hospital, drug/ alcohol rehabilitation center, or a crisis center.
Ministry Outcomes
The prayer ministry offers a valuable opportunity for heart healing.
However, as with any ministry, the outcomes depend on the individual’s willingness and journey.
Both EHM and the seeker reserve the right to discontinue a prayer session at any point, ensuring the process remains respectful and supportive for all involved.
If the seeker requires follow-up care and support after what surfaced during the prayer ministry session, they can register for a follow-up session.
